'Matilda' by Roald Dahl

"And have you read any books by yourself, any children's books, I mean?"
"I've read all the ones that are in the public library in the High Street, Miss Honey."
"And did you like them?"
"I liked some of them very much indeed," Matilda said, "but I thought others were fairly dull."

"Within a week, Matilda had finished GREAT EXPECTATIONS.  'I loved it,' she said."

This review by: Princess Leia, 8 years old

What is the book called? Matilda

Who is the author? Roald Dahl

Who is the illustrator? Quentin Blake

Who are the main characters? Matilda, Miss Honey

What is this story about? This story is about a five year old little girl named Matilda. When she was one, she already knew as many words as a a lot of grown ups. When she was four, she could read chapter books. When she is five, she goes to a school and her teacher's name is Miss Honey. The headmistress of the school is named Miss Trenchbull, and she is a danger to basically the whole town!

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Yes

Why or why not? I liked how Matilda was only five, and yet she was as smart as a lot of people that were older than her.
